Brainscreen would reside on portable computing hardware systems and be available during applicable athletic endeavour for the assessment of cognitive impairment secondary to traumatic brain injury (i.e., Concussive Syndrome). Should a participant sustain a hit/injury or potential trauma inducing incident, brainscreen can be administered by sideline personnel to provide real-time outcome score and appropriate action to be taken, based on empirically derived standardization. Depending on outcome score, the participant may (1) return to activity immediately (“green light”); (2) require further and formal examination and be cautioned not to return to activity (“yellow light”); (3) require immediate medical intervention (“red light”). In tandem with the real time outcome, Hemisphere Centre for Mental Health could provide further direction and education on next steps and further in-depth testing
